When you start on your own research it can sometimes it will challenging and difficult. there will be times (especially as you are starting) that you are confused, fell vague, uncertain and a little lost. But when you do talk to your teacher or the teacher librarian, we'll help you to become focused and calm. As you go along, you are to keep everything you do - all those scrap bits of paper - everything. You will need to do the following: Keep notes of all your research Keep a list of all youe sources in a bibliography Submit any highlighted excerpts of readings Complete a mind map (in Popplet) , glossary/vocabulary list as a wordle/tagxedo Create your website Put a blog entry on your website in each lesson/week summarising what you have been doing/learning Evaluate your website and a website created by one of your classmates As you begin, start thinking about: What do you already know about…? What part of this topic are you really curious about …? Why do want to explore this this topic..? What do you think you might discover about…? What is the purpose of your research? Who will your audience be? What do you want them to understand about your research? How are you going to share your learning? Don't forget to consider the State Library This assignment starts off with what you already know about your topic. You might like to use a mind map You are to become an expert on your topic which you'll share with others. Here are some general areas to investigate. Consider how you can develop a study of one of he following:
